Posey dances
around the questions of whether he is hanging around or not
Judging by the shit eating grin on his face I don’t think he looks to worried. I’m guessing that a flood of offers are coming in maybe?

From the 1 New York paper we can trust
Paul Pierce knows all about monumental turnarounds. The year before they won the NBA title, the Celtics won just 24 games.
So the NBA Finals MVP knows one move that would help the Knicks rebuild from the rubble of the Isiah Thomas Era - dump Stephon Marbury.
“He makes the biggest contract and he’s one of the oldest players on the team,” Pierce said yesterday while signing collectibles at Steiner Sports offices in New Rochelle. “That doesn’t really fit into a rebuilding plan, just to be honest.
“I’d try to trade him or buy him out at this point,” added Pierce, who still believes Marbury can be a starting point guard in the NBA. “I just think he needs a fresh start somewhere else. Marbury needs to be on a veteran team where he fits into what they’re trying to do a little bit more.”
Chris Duhon signed a two-year, $11.6 million dollar deal with the Knicks on Wednesday, but Knicks president Donnie Walsh continues to sidestep questions regarding Marbury’s status for next season. Marbury will earn $21 million in the final year of his contract.
“Everywhere he’s gone, they put him in the position to be the main guy,” Pierce said. “I really don’t look at Steph as the main guy…. There’s all kinds of pressure that comes along with being the main guy. But he’s definitely a great piece to have.”
Just not for the Knicks.
You’ve got to give it up to Paul Pierce. The guy has won a championship. He did it with Kevin Garnett. He’s a proven winner. That’s what champions do…they give advice out for free. Kevin McHale was well aware that Stephon “Starbury” Marbury would never be a winner in Minnesota. So he dumped him off. Kevin McHale is a champion. The Knicks HAVE TO take Paul Pierce’s advice. Isiah Thomas was once a champ too…he’ll know what to do with this information.

It’s being reported that the Celtics and James Posey are no where close to agreeing to a contract that would keep him here long term with mid-level money. Source
Posey will be remembered as a Celtic for his big time playoff performance…1 year, 1 time around. Does that mean the Celtics should give him the 5-6 years that he is looking for ? My answer to that questions is no. Posey should sign a short term deal at mid-level money (1 out of 2 of his demands) and prove to the Celtics that he is worth the years.
James needs to ask himself if winning is the most important thing in the world to him. Because we all know that championship rings do not put Ferrari’s in the garage…I mean food on the table. Just ask Lawyer Milloy.
